Jackie has just released a new single "The Rains of Castamere "

"Season 5 America's Got Talent runner-up Jackie Evancho, the opera prodigy who was that show's breakout star at age 10, never seemed like the type of singer who'd have something in common with mopey indie-rockers the National or Icelandic post-rock collective Sigur Rós.

But Jackie is the latest artist to put her own spin on the Game of Thrones song "The Rains of Castamere" — which soundtracked the series' infamous "Red Wedding" episode — and Yahoo Music has the exclusive stream of her own epic version.

Jackie, now age 14, has truly blossomed since wowing millions of AGT viewers with her "Ave Maria" audition in 2010. Now a true classical crossover sensation with five albums to her credit (including one platinum and one gold release), she's all grown up. She barely looks recognizable in her new publicity photos.

Jackie will be releasing a new full-length album later this year, but until then, her cover of "The Rains of Castamere" is an intriguing preview of her new direction. The song will be available on iTunes this coming Tuesday."

For whatever reason, this site did not take off and I have been attempting to keep it up to date in hopes that someday a few lost souls will show up and decide to stay.

The site is open for anyone to post whatever tickles their fancy about our heroine Jackie Evancho and is monitored by me periodically to make bloddy sure (I now understand why the "bloddy"), that everyone is behaving properly and to vacuum away inappropriate comments.
