Best Live Performance

Anyway, what's your favorite live performance?


It's hard for me to pick any one, but it seems that Nella Fantasia from The Talk and Pie Jesu from AGT seem to find their way back to my browser more often than most







There are a few newer performances that would probably take the lead recently with her voice improving as much as it is, but alas, cell-phones just don't do any justice.. Maybe we'll see something new after the Capitol Fourth concert?

I have to go with Pie Jesu, but the time she sang it at David Foster and Friends. Nothing more beautiful before or since, in my books.

My favorite live performance has got to be her Britain's Got Talent, June 4 2011 guest performance of Nessun Dorma.
She seemed relaxed and animated and blew the roof off.

Best?, probably not, but very impressive!

Based on the what my research turned up, I just had to include this one.
Lara Fabian, a well known French/Canadian singer, wrote and performed the song Broken Vow, in English, on albums and in concert.
This was performed at one of her 2006 concerts:


 
The Evancho's contacted the Fabian team and requested that Broken Vow be rewritten in French especially for Jackie. The rewritten Broken Vow was renamed Imaginer and took on a whole new meaning. Instead of a sad, love gone wrong, the song took on a deep, religious  meaning.
The song was then included in Jackie's Dream With Me concert and CD's/DVD's.


I would love to know why the song was chosen in the first place and why it was then asked to be rewritten in French.

Jackie has performed at the Ringling Museum more than once.
She performed her Dream With Me Concert for the PBS Great Performances series at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida around June 2011, and then returned again in April 2012 for the David and Yara Shoemaker wedding reception, where one of her songs was Imaginer.
